Two dead in early morning house fire in West Islip

Officials in Suffolk County are investigating a fatal house fire that killed two people Saturday morning.


WEST ISLIP, Long Island (WABC) — An early morning fire killed two people in West Islip Saturday morning.

The fire broke out around 5:53 a.m. at a residence on Udall Road

Third District officers responded to the fire and found two people deceased inside the home.

The deceased victims are now Matthew Kreamer (24) and Kyle Dilegame (16), who were brothers.

Joseph Dilegame, 54, and Toni Kreamer, 53, who also lived at the residence, were transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip.

One of the two, Dilegame, was taken to Stony Brook University Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.

Kreamer suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators with the Suffolk County Police Homicide and Arson Unit are investigating the fire.
