Travis Kelce’s neighbors didn’t buy his Halloween elopement with Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift apparently dressed up for Halloween… as the neighborhood couple who doesn’t hand out candy.
At least Kelce’s home in Kansas City.
Crime scene tape was placed around the Chiefs star’s home to keep trick-or-treaters away, and a security guard told children that “no one is home today.” The Daily Mail reported.
Swift was in town to spend time with Kelce before leaving on Wednesday morning.
The security guard sat in a limo parked in the driveway and sent people away while the children trick-or-treated on the holiday.
However, some didn’t believe the pop star and Chiefs tight end was out, especially when the lights came on in the house at night, according to the outlet.
One mother called them “liars” while another expressed her frustration.
“They don’t give out sweets, do you believe that?” said the mother. “Well, we know they’re lying. Swifty is here.”
Another mother questioned the need for secrecy.
“I don’t understand why he sits in the car and tells us no one is home when they clearly are,” another mother said. “Why don’t they just not open the door?”
It is unknown whether the couple was actually in the house.
However, Entertainment Tonight reported that he and Swift planned to invite friends and teammates over for dinner.
“I’m pretty sure we’ll get the gang together and have a nice little dinner – or a nice little dinner party, I should say,” Travis told his brother Jason on their “New Heights” podcast last week.
“Like a Halloween dinner party. Everyone comes dressed up and we have a party.”
Page Six’s requests for comment to representatives for Kelce and Swift went unanswered.
Interest in the “Cruel Summer” singer’s relationship with Kelce has skyrocketed since the two first linked in September.
They have since made their relationship public last month and Swift has attended a number of Chiefs games to cheer on Kelce.
The increased attention has took its toll on the Kelce family.
“It’s another level of fame that football players don’t normally get to deal with,” Travis’ brother Jason Kelce recently told NBC Sports.
“On the one hand, I’m happy for my brother that he seems to be in a relationship that excites him [and] that he is honest. But there’s another ending that makes you say, ‘Man, that’s a lot.'”
Halloween is another example to add to the list, as it is unlikely that the press was at Travis’ home to interview families a year ago.
