Ceith explained that checking the amount of coolant in your car and turning off the heater when you turn on the engine will allow your vehicle to warm up faster.

He said, “I’ll show you a simple maintenance tip to help your car heat up faster in the morning.”

“You want to make sure your coolant is exactly where it needs to be. Don’t overfill it. Just make sure it’s right there on the line.”

“When you turn your car on to heat up in the morning, make sure the heater is turned off.

“I know this sounds a bit crazy, but when the heater is turned off, your car heats up much faster. Have fun.”

However, users were divided over the effectiveness of the hack.

“It doesn’t matter that the thermostat opens at a certain temperature,” wrote one.

“That’s why it doesn’t matter whether the heating is on or not. The coolant heats up the same in both cases.”

Some weren’t as impressed, with another person writing: “What about petrol? Do you need this?”

Griffith’s method comes after a car expert shared his top tips for saving on costly repairs.

Another experienced cleaner insisted that a popular viral cleaning product had the ability to repair scratches in cars.
