The boil water recommendation remains in effect for the Strasbourg district

STRASBURG BOROUGH, Pa. (WHTM) – A boil water advisory remains in effect for a Lancaster County community.

Strasburg County Police issued the warning Nov. 3 after an eight-inch water main on East Main Street was accidentally damaged by contractors.

On November 6, police said they were awaiting the results of water sample tests requested by the Department of Environmental Protection. Results are expected sometime Tuesday.

Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and preparing food.
