Teenage man arrested in connection with grievous bodily harm in Sligo – The Irish Times

A teenage male was arrested in connection with a serious assault in County Sligo on Tuesday.

A teenager was in a serious condition following the attack, which happened outside a building on Mail Coach Road at around 7.10pm.

The teenager was taken to University Hospital Sligo with serious injuries. He continues to receive treatment at Beaumont Hospital.

The crime scene was preserved for technical examination on Wednesday morning and the investigation is continuing at Sligo Garda Station.

The young man, who is still in his teens, was arrested on Thursday evening and is being held at a Garda station in Sligo under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Three other male teenagers are on trial in connection with the incident.
