Police: Man randomly pushes 83-year-old woman to the ground

BELMONT, Bronx (WABC) — Police in the Bronx are searching for a man who pushed an 83-year-old woman to the ground.

The random attack occurred just before 10:30 a.m. near the intersection of East 187th Street and Crescent Avenue in Belmont.

The woman suffered from pain and swelling in her right hip and knee. She was taken to hospital in stable condition and is expected to do well.

The suspect fled the scene. He is described as a man wearing black jeans, a black jacket and brown boots.

There were no arrests.
