People are just noticing three secret, life-changing Sky TV remote hacks – check out yours today

There are three little-known Sky TV remote control tricks that can really improve your viewing experience.

From clever shortcuts to finding the name of that movie you’ve got on your mind, there’s more to your Sky remote than meets the eye.

With the first trick you can even shorten your daily surfing by a few minutes.

However, remember to use the shortcuts.

Fast navigation

There are some handy keyboard shortcuts for quickly navigating your TV guide.

If you’ve ever used the Sky TV guide, it can sometimes be tedious to find exactly what you’re looking for.

Luckily, there are a few remote control tricks you can use to quickly jump around.

Pressing the Fast Forward button on a Sky Q remote will allow you to skip forward 24 hours in the program guide.

This means you can see what’s going on tomorrow (and beyond) in seconds.

Clicking “Rewind” will also take you back 24 hours.

Once you’re deep into the guide and know what you’re doing, just click the play button.

Hidden remote control button

Your Sky TV remote control has a hidden button that is clearly visible.

But it is actually very useful.

We’re talking about the Sky logo on your remote control – yes, it’s a button!

When you press it (and you definitely should), your recorded TV shows and movies will appear.

This saves you having to sift through the various Sky menus to find out what you have saved so far.

Everything you have recorded on the Sky box will be displayed.

And you can press the button from anywhere in the Sky menu to instantly navigate to those recordings.

Movie quotes

A clever Sky TV hack is perfect if you keep forgetting the names of films.

This allows you to quickly track down a movie simply by using a famous quote.

You simply use the voice control function of your Sky remote control.

Press the microphone button and then say the famous quote.

For example, saying, “You can’t handle the truth!” will produce some good men.

And My Precious brings you The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.

There are dozens of quotes you can use to try out the feature.

Another trick

This isn’t technically a trick *on* your remote, but we’ll tell you about it anyway.

If you lose your remote control, there is one easy way to get it back.

The remote control has a built-in speaker that will beep if you lose it.

All you have to do is activate the function via your Sky box.

The remote beeps loudly for 30 seconds so you can find it quickly.

This means you can spend less time frantically flipping sofa cushions.

If you have lost your Sky Q remote control, don’t panic.

First, make sure your house is quiet so you can hear the beep.

Then press the Q button on the front of your Sky Q box.

After a few seconds, your paired Sky Q Touch/Sky Q voice remote will beep.

This beep only lasts 30 seconds. So if you don’t find it during this time, you will have to restart the process.
