One dead and eight people taken to hospital after early hours collision in Co Armagh – The Irish Times

A man has died and several people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Co Armagh in the early hours of Saturday.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said the incident, which involved four vehicles, occurred on Gosford Road in Markethill at around 1.20am.

A PSNI spokeswoman said eight people were taken to hospital to be treated for their injuries following the accident.

Motorists are advised to avoid the Gosford Road area of ​​Markethill while the scene of the accident is investigated and to seek an alternative route for their journey.

“Anyone who witnessed the collision or has CCTV or dashcam footage that could assist any investigation is asked to contact police at the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 104 of 04/11. 23 to state,” the spokeswoman added.
