Lisa Vanderpump has “empathy” for Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky

Lisa Vanderpump is not ready to forgive Kyle Richards – but still feels for her ex Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star amid her marital problems with her husband Mauricio Umansky.
“With Kyle and Mauricio, I mean, I don’t have a great relationship with her, I was honest about that,” Lisa, 63, said exclusively Us weekly while attending BravoCon on Friday, November 3rd. “When someone calls you a liar, if they don’t take it back, it’s hard to come back from that. But I have empathy. Empathy for it. They have a family and beautiful girls.”
While Lisa and Kyle, 54, appeared on the first season of “ RHOBH In 2010, their nearly decade-long friendship ended in 2018, according to her co-star Dorit Kemsley adopted a puppy from Kylie’s dog rescue center, Vanderpump Dogs. After the pet ended up in a killer shelter, Teddi Mellencamp accused Lisa of encouraging her co-workers to talk about the situation so that it would become a storyline on the show.
While Kyle tried to remain neutral in the feud, she questioned Lisa when the story leaked to the press – which angered her Vanderpump Rules Star. The women got into a heated argument with Lisa’s husband, Ken Toddkicked Kyle out of the house and caused Lisa to cut off communication with her co-stars, including Kyle, before officially exiting the Bravo series in Season 9.
After their fallout, Kyle opened up exclusively Us that she had tried unsuccessfully to contact her former friend. “Emails and text messages and, you know, I don’t know what else to do,” she said Us in November 2018. “For me, the ball is in her court.”
The two don’t seem to have made amends, but Lisa’s “empathy” comes in the midst of a whole other relationship drama for Kyle. Us confirmed in July that Kyle and Mauricio, 54, had separated after 27 years of marriage. The couple tied the knot in 1996 and have daughters Alexia (27), Sophia (23) and Portia (15). (Mauricio is also the stepfather of Kyle’s daughter Farrah, 34), whom she welcomed with her ex-husband Guraish Aldjufrie.)
Kyle and Mauricio issued a joint statement about their split in July, noting that they had endured a “tough year” in their marriage but had no plans to divorce. “We both love and respect each other immensely,” they wrote via Instagram. “There has been no wrongdoing by anyone.”

Kyle expressed her discomfort with the images during an appearance at See what’s happening live, hosts tell Andy Cohen“I don’t know if anything has happened yet, but obviously something has happened. … I love him very much and we are friendly. [But] That really hurt me.”
For his part, Mauricio directly addressed the romance rumors in an Instagram video with Slater, 34, in October, insisting that the duo are “not together.”
Kyle and Mauricio aren’t the only ones RHOBH who apparently have “problems” in their marriage. In October, In contact reported that Dorit, 47, and her husband, PK KemsleyThey live “separate lives.” The couple, who share daughter Jagger, 9, and son Phoenix, 7, responded to the reports at the time and denied they were planning to end their marriage.
At the time, Dorit and PK, 56, added that they had “a challenging few years” and would discuss their relationship on season 13 RHOBHwhich started in October.
Meanwhile, a source exclusively shared Us Earlier this month, she reported that Dorit and PK were spending “time apart” while undergoing “couples counseling.”
“They both agree it’s the right thing to do,” said a second insider Us. “It was a tough time for her. They want to say amicably whether they will stay together or not.”
When talking to Us At BravoCon on Friday, Lisa shared that she doesn’t think Dorit and PK are really in trouble, adding that she doesn’t “invest too much” in rumors.
“I haven’t heard much about it and I never really believe rumors because I think all marriages go through a little bit of it,” she explained. “I’ve been married for 41 years, sometimes I wanted to kill Ken, and often [I’ve] kind of [been] honest about it. They say, “Oh, what’s it like to be married?” It’s damn difficult! It is.”
