Kody Brown expressed mixed feelings about his relationship Janelle Brown during the final episode of Sister wives.

“I once asked Janelle, ‘What is that? Why can’t we reconcile? Let’s try to reconcile. Why can’t we?'” he said in a confessional on Sunday, November 5, after visiting Janelle’s new apartment. “[She says]”Well, I don’t know what your relationship is with Robyn and Meri, but I’m just not interested in working with those people.” And that’s sad. Because that’s the agreement we made about plural marriage.”

Tensions between Kody and Janelle, both 54, were high throughout season 18 after the couple had a heated argument. They accused each other of “gaslighting” during their screaming match that aired in September, and their status remained up in the air on camera.

Kody admitted on Sunday that it was “sad” to see his marriage to Janelle “disintegrate” over time. “I can’t put the pieces of the puzzle back together,” he said. “But I’ll ask her again next week if maybe we can reconcile. And it’s painful every time. Maybe I should take it more seriously, but every time it’s like, ‘Nope.'”

According to Janelle, Kody hadn’t made it clear that he wanted to repair their marriage. “He never came to me and said, ‘Hey, I love you.’ I miss you. “I want to get back together,” she claimed. “It’s always about, ‘Don’t you want to get the family back together’ so his life can run smoothly again?” And I’m really done with that.”

Janelle joined Kody’s plural family in 1993, three years after he tied the knot with Meri. Christine entered into a spiritual relationship with Kody in 1994, and Robyn followed in 2010. Kody caused a stir in the family dynamic in 2014 when he decided to legally divorce Meri and become Robyn’s legal husband in order to welcome her children from a previous marriage to adopt.
