Is Microsoft Teams down? Users complain that the app doesn’t work during a mysterious outage

MICROSOFT Teams is apparently suffering from a mysterious failure.

At 9:00 a.m. GMT / 4:00 a.m. EST, reports on Down Detector skyrocketed.

More than 1,000 complaints were discovered by the site just as people in the UK were starting to work.

It is not yet clear how widespread it is.

And Microsoft has not yet commented on this.

Why isn’t Teams working?

Users appear to be having trouble accessing the popular messaging service used by businesses around the world.

According to reports from Down Detector, a server connection issue appears to be the cause.

Some users took to social media to find out what was happening.

“Is #MicrosoftTeams down, or is it just me?” wrote one.

X, formerly Twitter, is usually a good place to start if you’re unsure whether an issue is unique to you or widespread.

Microsoft usually posts updates on its status page. @MSFT365Status.

However, nothing has been officially reported so far.

Microsoft Teams is the “ultimate messaging app” for organizations, the company explains on its website.

It is a workspace that allows users to collaborate and communicate in real time.

In addition, users can also host meetings and share files and apps.

The tech giant launched the collaborative system in March 2017.
