He starts by explaining that charging your smartphone to 100 percent can actually be harmful to the overall health of the battery.

“Science actually tells us that the state of charge of our batteries needs to be between 20 and 90 percent to maintain battery health,” he said.

He then recommends that viewers use their Shortcuts app and set a helpful reminder that will prevent them from cluttering up their phones.

“Go to the Shortcuts app, go to Automation, and click Create Personal Automation.”

“Then go to Battery Level, make sure the slider is at around 85-90% and click Next.”

“Press Add Action and select Speak to Text. Type anything you want to warn.”

At this point, the Apple professional enters “Enough juice!”, the command his phone now gives when the battery reaches 85 percent.

There are options to choose a different voice type and the ability to play it out loud and see if you like it before adjusting it.

He then shows viewers how to do the same thing using the same steps when the battery is down to 20%.

Another tech guru has pointed out all the things that can lead to unexpected battery drain on your iPhone.

With a few simple setting changes you can save some juice.

Someone else pointed out the sneaky background feature that could be draining your device without you even realizing it!
