Fortnite down: When will the servers be up again? Downtime for Fortnite OG today (November 3rd)

FORTNITE players were unable to log into the game this morning, November 3, 2023, and many are wondering when the servers will be back.

The battle royale game’s servers are currently down for scheduled maintenance in preparation for the start of Chapter 4, Season 5, i.e. Fortnite OG.

Is Fortnite currently in downtime?

Yes, Fortnite servers are currently down due to planned maintenance to release patch v27.00.

The new patch brings Fortnite OG, taking players back to the original map as it looked when the game first launched.

The Fortnite OG update is out today, November 3, 2023.

As always, developer Epic Games informed players about the maintenance period some time in advance.

Matchmaking in Fortnite was disabled 30 minutes before maintenance began this morning, in preparation for the deployment of v27.00, which began at 7am UK time / 3am ET.

Epic Games has reported on the downtime on the Twitter account “Fortnite Status” shortly before the servers shut down.

Typically, Fortnite servers become unavailable during the release of new patches 8am UK time / 4am ETbut the last few times Epic Games has pushed the start time up an hour.

How long is Fortnite downtime?

Epic Games has not provided any end times for the planned maintenance, but has indicated that it could take longer than usual.

The publisher promised to keep players updated when the downtime ends.

Fortnite players can always check with the official for updates on the game’s server status Fortnite status twitter account.

Real-time outage reporting aggregator DownDetector is another good place to get up-to-date information on Fortnite server availability.

How long will Fortnite be unavailable for patch v27.00 and Fortnite OG?

We don’t know exactly how long it will take to deploy the patch, but server maintenance periods for previous season releases and major content updates have lasted up to three or four hours.

If this is the case with Fortnitemares and the deployment of patch v27.00, we should expect the servers at to be back online 11am UK time / 7am ET at earliest.

In any case, players should be able to dive into Fortnite OG beforehand Today 1pm UK time / 9am ETunless deployment takes longer than usual.
