Florida shooting: At least two dead and 18 injured after a fight broke out outside a Tampa bar in the Ybor City neighborhood, authorities say

TAMPA, Fla. – At least two people were killed and 18 others were injured in a shooting in Florida early Sunday.

According to Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw, a fight broke out between two groups around 3 a.m. as bars were closing in Ybor City, a neighborhood in Tampa, Florida.

Hundreds were near the scene when the shooting began, Bercaw said at a news conference.

The condition of the injured was initially unknown.

A suspect, a man, turned himself in to police, Bercaw said.

Authorities believe at least two shooters were involved. There is currently only one person in custody.
