DRIVERS are just now realizing that there is a household item most of us own that can help heat up their cars much faster than usual.

The item is revealed in a TikTok video and drivers are amazed that they didn’t know about the bizarre but simple trick before.

The video is shared by @drivewithkruzee – who regularly posts similar clips to his 17,000 followers – and has more than a hundred likes.

His top tip is to get a blanket the night before your trip and place it under the hood of your car on the engine – to keep it warm overnight.

He pointed out that for maximum benefit, an electric blanket is ideal, but a regular blanket will also suffice.

Other tips from @drivewithkruzee include how to fill up your gas tank, how to make a three-point turn, and what to do if your car skids in snow.

And he’s not the only car enthusiast making a splash on the internet, as there are plenty who love to share tips and tricks.

A life hack guru @mama_mila_ recently revealed how drivers can make their car smell nice without breaking the bank.

Influencer Mila tells her followers that the citrus oil not only helps “clean leather” but also “makes your car smell amazing.”

In another helpful video – posted by @dongchexiaoshimei – a driver reveals how drivers and passengers can quickly open windows in an emergency.
