Drivers are just beginning to realize that a little-known button will defog your windshield in seconds

An expert has reminded drivers of a button in every car that clears windscreens from fog in seconds.

When temperatures drop, many drivers find their windshield fogged up when they get into the car in the morning.

This is often due to the temperature difference between the outside and inside of the car.

Now the team at the TikTok channel Precise Auto has warned drivers not to clean the windshield with a cloth.

The video explains: “You should not wipe your windshield if it fogs up. There is an automatic anti-fog function integrated inside, which could be more visible and clearer on the road while driving.”

“It’s much more effective than wiping it off with a cloth or tissue. Do not wipe it with a cloth or tissue.”

You can find the solution by locating your car’s “automatic windshield removal function” and turning it on.

Precise Auto recommends turning off “recirculation mode” so that the air is not moved unnecessarily in the car.

The next step is to turn on the outside air intake and turn on the windshield defrost button.

Turning the air conditioning to a “middle position” will “quickly and effectively remove fog from the windshield.”

Drivers are just starting to realize that there is a household item that most of us own that can help heat up our cars much faster than usual.

The item is revealed in a TikTok video and drivers are amazed that they didn’t know about the bizarre but simple trick before.

The video is shared by @drivewithkruzee – who regularly posts similar clips to his 17,000 followers – and has more than a hundred likes.

His top tip is to get a blanket the night before your trip and place it under the hood of your car on the engine – to keep it warm overnight.
