Video: Airline passengers argue over the right to recline seats

Sit back or not?

While airline seats are designed to recline for passenger comfort, this is typically not an optimal experience for the person whose space is restricted by the back of a chair.

A passenger on a recent flight asserted her right to recline in a heated argument captured on viral video.

“I can put my seat back,” the woman explains angrily several times.

The dispute sparked a centuries-old debate on social media. Some said it was important to be respectful of the passenger behind you – others said if the seats didn’t recline, airlines wouldn’t have designed them that way.
