Cool November air is spreading and persisting today

TODAY: Scattered showers, PM clearing. Hello 52.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear, cooler. See 37.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny. Hello 53.

SUNDAY: Partly cloudy, cool. Hello 48.

Yesterday there were lots of clouds, fleeting sunshine and just a hint of precipitation. Clouds kept temperatures in the high 60s yesterday afternoon, not reaching their potential, but it was still a fairly pleasant day. Today there will be clouds and a few scattered showers in the morning, caused by a storm from the south that is about to hit our region. Don’t expect much precipitation again and skies should clear thanks to a light breeze by this afternoon. Highs today will be in the low 50s, ushering in much cooler November air that is expected to persist. Tonight will be mostly clear, with lows falling into the upper 30s.

The high air pressure will ensure that the weekend will remain dry, sunny and seasonally cool. Highs will be in the 50s while lows will be near freezing each morning. Jackets, fireplaces and the heat will be everywhere this weekend as the cold takes hold in the region. Rain will continue to be scarce in the extended forecast. Next week also looks sunny, with a breeze on Monday and Tuesday.
