All you need is a phone or tablet with streaming apps and video content and an Amazon Fire TV.

Keep in mind that this trick works for Android devices.

Apple users need to download a third-party app to screen cast to an Amazon Fire TV.

First, make sure you have downloaded the latest version of FireOS.

After updating, you can start the screencasting process.

Click the Home button on your Fire Stick remote.

Next, click “Mirror” and then press Enter.

On your Android device, look for the “Connected Devices” section in the Settings menu.

Most read in “Phones and Gadgets.”

The steps to find this may vary depending on the brand of your Android device.

Generally, you need to click “Transfer” and “Enable Wireless Display”.

Hopefully the name of your Amazon Fire TV will appear and you can select it.

This trick can be useful in hotels with smart TVs as you can watch your own content.

Amazon says iOS and MacOS do not technically support Fire TV screen mirroring.

According to the Kim Commando website you can try downloading an app called AirScreen.

This may allow you to screencast from an Apple device.

Always do your research before downloading third-party apps.
