Activities this weekend: Halloween festivals, carnivals, parades

(WHTM) – It’s the last weekend of October and Halloween is just around the corner. Here is abc27’s list of things to do in the Midstate from Friday, October 27th to Sunday, October 29th.
Harrisburg area
Hocus Pocus movie night at Bandshell – This Friday is Hocus Pocus Movie Night at Reservoir Park. The event was originally scheduled to take place last Friday, but was postponed. The film starts at 7pm and refreshments are available while supplies last.
Lancaster area
Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire – The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire is hosting its third Halloween Days & Spooky Knights themed weekend. This will be the fair’s final weekend for the 2023 season. Go to the event website to find out more about themed events.
7th Annual Halloween Carnival – Manheim Township Parks and Recreation will host its 7th Annual Halloween Carnival this Saturday, October 28th. The event will run from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will be held at the Overlook Activities Center at 301 Gold Drive. Admission and participation in the event’s “trunk or treat” are free, but tickets are required for carnival games and other activities. York area
Halloween walk and festival – West York Borough is hosting its 4th annual Halloween Walk and Festival this weekend. There will be a sneak peek and pumpkin carving party at 1381 W Poplar St. on Friday at 4 p.m. The walk and festival begins at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday at the same location.
Carlisle area
5th Annual Fall Harvest Festival – The 5th Annual Fall Harvest Festival will be held this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Carlisle Expo Center. Admission is free and includes live music, carnival games and trick-or-treating Saturday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy for TriState Events’ annual Cumberland County Toys for Tots fundraiser and collection. Autumn Artists Market – Carlisle Bowen Works is hosting its annual Fall Festival this Sunday, October 29th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will take place outdoors and further information about the events is available Facebook site.
Mechanicsburg area
Williams Grove Historical Steam Association Fall Festival – The Williams Grove Historical Steam Association Fall Festival runs Friday through Sunday. Activities include pumpkin painting, wagon rides, hayrides and more. Admission is free, but certain activities require a purchased wristband. The full calendar of events is available Here.
Trick or treat at the farm – Paulu’s Farm Market, 1233 South York Street, is hosting the Trick-or-Treat at the Farm event this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Trick-or-Treat on the Farm event is open to children 12 and under and participation is included in daily admission to FarmPark, which costs $8 per person ages 2 to 70. Gettysburg area
16th Annual Thanksgiving Festival and Parade – The New Oxford Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 16th Annual Harvest Day Festival and Parade this Saturday, October 28th from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event will be held in downtown New Oxford and will feature a variety of vendors. There will be a free activity area for children. The parade starts at 3 p.m
Chambersburg area
Night of the Clowns – The Franklin County Historical Society is hosting the second installment of its “Haunted Jail” fundraiser this weekend on Friday, Oct. 27, and Saturday, Oct. 28.
